Mind in Somerset Sedgemoor Community Support:
Mind in Somerset - working to ensure people living with mental health problems get the right help at the right time. As communities grow and change there can be pressures and stresses such as isolation and loneliness, housing and employment which can affect mental health and wellbeing. Mind in Somerset offer a 1 to 1 'drop - in' support service in their Bridgwater office with local 1 to 1 support meetings around Sedgemoor and West Somerset. They provide a safe space to discuss these stresses.
Mind in Somerset support access to specialist mental health services, debt and employment advice, community activities and opportunities to improve mental health and wellbeing.
With partner organisations and other local support services they offer community awareness days around the region. Their 'drop - in' sessions are available Monday and Friday mornings 9am to 1pm and Wednesday afternoons 2 to 5pm at the Mind In Somerset office Bridgwater Town Hall, High Street, Bridgwater, TA6 3AS.

The Bridge Self Help Booklet:
The Bridge provides support to anyone who has been the victim of a sexual assault. They have recently produced a ‘Self-Help Booklet’ for people who have experienced a sexual assault either recent or historic. This handy fresh looking booklet covers topics such as mood changes, flashbacks, support and self-help techniques to manage this.

Care Quality Commission (CQC)
The Practice is now registered with the CQC. This involved demonstrating compliance in a number of outcomes involving patient care and the management of the Surgery. From the 1st April 2013 we can also expect inspections during which they will be particularly keen to speak to patients, their families and careers.
